Glass Cutting

Toughening / Tempering
Our toughening service transforms standard glass into safety glass that is 4-5 times stronger than regular glass. We operate one of the largest toughening furnaces in the Southern Hemisphere, capable of processing panels up to 3.3m x 6m.

Note: All cutting, drilling, and edge work must be completed before toughening, as toughened glass cannot be cut or modified.
Heat Soaking
Heat soaking is a critical quality assurance process that tests toughened glass for potential spontaneous breakage. Glass panels are heated to elevated temperatures to identify any nickel sulfide inclusions that could cause future failure.
